Flauta? Taquito? Either way… delicious!

Flautas. Taquitos. Mexican food. Yum.
I recently found this recipe, and not being mexican, I have no idea of the authenticity but I can vouch for it being mind-blowingly delicious. Spell check is telling me that ‘mind-blowingly’ is not a word but I can’t think of a better way to describe it. I don’t even mind spending the two hours in the kitchen to make it. Worth every minute.
It is called Chicken Flautas with Cotija and Salsa Roja. Now there is some debate wether it is a flauta or a taquito in the comments section, but like I said, I don’t know anything about authenticity… just the yum factor. I can’t even find the cheese it calls for anywhere, so I can only assume it gets so much better.
So stop whatever you are doing, go to whatever grocery store needed, and make yourself some of these. I will be awaiting everyone’s thank you comments.
On a side note, I have been seeking pintrest for fun things to do with the kids. One idea was a back yard pinic, which I turned into more of a tea party.
It was really fun. For about five minutes. They should really have a time duration on these “100 activities for your kids list.” But I must admit it was an adorable five minutes. Especially when Thelma cradled ”Prince charming” and fed him a cracker.

That looks delicious! I will think about trying it…not sure I want to spend 2 hours in the kitchen.

My mom has told me about stumble upon too. I suppose I will just have to check it out. And Sarah, make them anyways. So yummy… plus you have an oven so you can bake them all at once instead of frying them up some at a time like I have to. OR come visit me and I’ll make them for you. Brillant!
