Well, life has been busy for this family in the past couple of weeks, the busiest part being our move! We recently moved into a casita in the heart of Playa Grande. I am really enjoying it, and would love to share some pictures with you, but I have yet to find my camera charger from the move! It is on my list of priorities!
Over these past couple weeks there has been a lot going on in Grande. There was the closing party for the wonderful Mamasa Resturant.

Here’s a group of us ladies celebrating the success of Jamie’s first season! Way to go Jamie!! (photo credit: Jamie!)
I am already eagerly awaiting her re-opening sometime in November!
There have been dinner parties and sunsets on the beach.

And of course Kid’s club was on the beach last week and it was wonderful and relaxing!
Not to mention all the unpacking and cleaning that goes with moving. Blah!
One of the things I love about this new place is the lovely key lime tree and guava tree on the property. I love the idea of growing some more plants and my dear friend Jamie brought over some thyme and rosemary for my new place. If we add that to my pineapple and aloe vera plant, I am doing pretty good! Lately I have been getting really excited about growing a veggie and fruit garden and using the fresh produce in my everyday cooking. But I have to start somewhere, so I think it is going to be with a key lime pie!
Last night I spent much of my day sewing (or attempting to sew). My machine has been giving me a lot of trouble, but with some patience and a bit of determination, I might actually get something done! But we had an early dinner and I decided last minute to take the girls down to watch the sunset. Thelma has been persistently refusing to go in the water for about 8 months now, so I dressed Margo and Thelma in matching dresses and expected them to play in the sand and watch the sun set.
When Thelma saw the water, she pointed at it and shouted “pool!” She ran in and we played in the surf, water creeping up her dress. I couldn’t believe I didn’t have a camera to take pictures as she laughed and ran around playing in the water! All in the most adorable dress. It was such a sweet moment and the three of us played until the sunset. A truly wonderful night. I suppose it is not too hard to see why I have fallen in love with Playa Grande!
So although this pictures are from a different day, they will have
